Sunidhi Chauhan’s TV Career and Hifilm Story
Chauhan was performing with the group Little Wonders at the 40th Filmfare Awards in 1995 when late music director Aadesh Shrivastava heard her and recorded her voice for the film Shastra. She made her film debut at the age of eleven with the song Ladki Deewani Dekho with Udit Narayan.
During the year, she won the first singing reality show on DD National, Meri Awaz Suno, for which she was awarded the Lata Mangeshkar Trophy as India’s best female singer. In addition, she released her debut solo album, Aira Gaira Nathu Khaira, which was eventually marketed as a children’s CD.
